I have a B2410. The fuse for the dash and headlights has blown twice. I checked the wiring for any bare wire and couldn't find anything. I'm on my third fuse. It seem to be holding for now. Has anyone had the same problem or know of something it could be? Thanks Jeff

My B3030 blew the dash/headlight fuse twice, too. For those that don't know, the B3030 will not start with this fuse blown. I had to use my backup 20amp fuse to load the tractor onto its trailer. The dealership could not find a problem and sent me home with a handful of 10amp fuses. It hasn't blown since.

I have the 7800. If I only used the factory stock 15watt headlights, there isn't any way they were going to blow a fuse, thats only 1.25 amps per bulb.
Anthing that builds resistance in the circuit can blow the fuse, even a loose bulb. Make sure you bulbs are tight, sockets clean, and plugs are tight. A loose plug or bulb can cause fuse problems. ....

While bush hogging over Thanksgiving weekend my B3030 started blowing the dash/headlight fuse again. It blew three 10amp fuses and a 20amp. Needless to say, I've taken it to the dealership again for service.
I'm starting to get a little frustrated. If the dealership tries to give me the runaround again (can't find the cause), what should I demand they do to correct the problem? I've had the tractor 5 months and with the exception of this issue am very pleased.

I don't know this tractor specifically, but from an electrical point of view, blowing a 20amp fuse in a circuit designed for 10amps is a serious problem. There are only a few things that draw that much current, which leads me to believe it is a short somewhere. I would be looking for wire that is chaffing on the edge of a metal panel or frame or pinched. If the harness is clean, then you may have some other failure such as a key switch shorting out internally.
Be sure to stick with the correct fuses--a larger fuse may melt your wire harness and cause more problems. ....

WAG- check where the coolent overflow drain is at from the overflow bottle/cap. Even though the tractor isn't getting hot, some spillage may be occuring from rough terrain onto some wires or connection. I extended mine with a small hose to avoid dripping on wires/connections near the overflow. ....

The dealership reports they have found the cause of the blown dash fuses on my B3030. They reported the following: "Our technician ran the tractor and also blew 4 or 5 10amp fuses. He removed the steering wheel, the instrument meter cluster, the lower panel and found a pinched wire on the steering housing. He repaired the wires and reinstalled everything. Tested the tractor and NOW its running GREAT."
